The XXV Illes Balears Clàssics regatta awards this Irish cutter the trophy to the yacht that best represents the spirit of classic sailing. It was the fastest yacht in the Fastnet from 1926 to 1939 and it maintains William Fife III's original design, who considered it his "perfect jewel"

The XXV Illes Balears Clàssics regatta has awarded its Legend of the Sea 2019 trophy to the Irish yacht Hallowe'en, an impressive Bermudian cutter of 25 meters length from 1926. A jury formed by Diego Colon de Carvajal (general manager at Astilleros de Mallorca), Joaquin Pita da Veiga (Spanish army admiral), Carlos Ferret (skip-owner) and José Maria Sans (Palma Boatshow manager) has considered Hallowe'en, designed by William Fife III, to be the yacht that best represents the "spirit of classic sailing" among the 37 yachts competing these days in Club de Mar Mallorca in the third scoring race in the Mare Nostrum circuit of classic sailing.

Each of the participants in the regatta has part of the sporting sailing history in theis ribs, but few simbolize the essence of the competition and accomplishment like Hallowe'en (1926), winner in real time of the Fastent of its same launching year.

Hallowe'en, which looks like she's just out of the shipyard, established the second record of the famous 608-mile journey that starts from Cowes and on to the Solent, Ireland's sea and until de isle of Fastnet Rock, the last bastion seen by the immigrants headed towards the US in the first decades of the XX century and where one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world stands.
