The trophy-delivery ceremony declared the end of the XXIII edition of the Illes Balears Clàssics regatta, organised by Club de Mar Mallorca. The competition gathered 48 classic, vintage and latin sail vessels from last August 16. The absolute trophy went ex aequo to the Italian classic Corsaro II (1960) and to the Argentinian Cippino (1949), having both scored the same number of partial victories. In the 15-meter class, the winner was Mariska (1908) and in RI Classics the winner was Orion (1973). The llaüt Alzina (1945) won in Latin Sail.

The president of Club de Mar thanked the skippers' loyalty, of whom he said are great keepers of the Spanish naval patrimony. He also remembered the victims of the attacks occurred in Catalonia and he said "many lost their lives, people from many different countries represented in this regatta".

"Our country is experiencing days of sadness and giref, that is why I want to thank you all for taking part in the tribute to the memory of the victims", he added.
