The vintage boats regatta in Club de Mar, to be held from August 16 to 19, has been presented today in Palma's Boat Show with the presence of the 'conseller' of Labour, Commerce and Industry, Iago Negueruela.

Club de Mar Mallorca will hold from August 16 to 19 "one of the best editions in history", which this year will celebrate its XXIII edition with the confirmed presence of the "best vessels of the Mediterranean fleet", as announced today by the entity's commodore, Manuel Nadal, in the official presentation of this social and sportive event in Palma's Boat Show.

The 'conseller' of the Balearic Government, Iago Negeruela, who was present during the presentation as a "token of support to the nautical sector", has praised the regatta organisers who, as the Illes Balears, show their committment with sport, naval patrimony and the industry linked with the sea.

The Club's president, Borja de la Rosa, has thanked the 'conseller' for being there today, as well as the general manager at IDI and head of Palma's Boat Show, Nuria Hinojosa; also the director of the Show, Chema Sans and the president of the Balearic Yacht Clubs Association (ACNB), Miquel Suñer, and has also highlighted that the "Illes Balears Clàssics is the most important annual event in Club de Mar Mallorca as well as being the best representative of our Club's values".

Manuel Nadal has stated that the estimate for this year's XXIII Illes Balears Clàssics "couldn't be better". "There are still three months ahead of us but we already have the confirmations of some true sea legends, such as the 15-meter class units, four survivors of the great vessels from the first and second decade of the XX century (Mariska, Tuiga, The Lady Anne and Hispania), as well as the emblematic Spartan, Hallowe'en or The Blue Peter", said Nadal.
